Below is the expanded obituary written by Shani and I (I am Bill's sister, Lori), as well as information about the celebration of life services.

William Ray Green went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 6th at age 63. Bill was born on November 21, 1950 in Bellflower, California. Bill moved to Goleta, California with his family at the age of 10 and was in the first graduating class of Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta in 1969. He attended Santa Barbara City College. He moved to Napa, California in 1976 and opened the Green Apple Antiques on 3rd Street. After that he restored Victorian Homes in Napa, including the Migliavacca Mansion, which resulted in Sunset magazine featuring his handiwork.

Bill met and married Charlotte Ann Deming in 1984, the year he also took a position as Ranch Manager in Pope Valley at the Dollar Ranch. He held that position to present. This was the ultimate role for Bill, as it allowed him to employ all of his gifts, talents, and passions: restoring everything from furniture and fences to buildings, pursuing his natural way with plants and relationship with nature. Bill oversaw many projects at the ranch in his over 30 years in this role, and he leaves a legacy in the land there.

Bill touched every life he met. Everyone loved him and felt comfortable around him. Bill loved the Lord, read the Bible every morning, and he and his soul mate Charlotte loved to worship and were active in the congregations at Grace Church in Napa as well as Yountville Community Church. Bill's other passions included sports, and always staying fit. He lifted weights all his life and played baseball, football, tennis, and was a runner. He loved Roy Rogers and old westerns. He restored furniture and was famous for bringing home stray or injured animals. Most recently, he and his wife Charlotte got tremendous joy from adopting their chihuahua Scooter.  They were thrilled to be grandparents and loved spending time with their two grandchildren, pictured above.  They also had fun decorating their home in Atascadero, and of course, putting in all of the landscaping there. Bill was the one everyone in the family would turn to for help in decorating, restoration, antiques and landscaping.

Bill Green is survived by his loving and devoted wife Charlotte Green, daughter Shani Loizu (Ryan) of San Diego, son Adam Green of Fairfield, mother Loraine Green of Atascadero, California, sister Cheryl Husband (David) of Atascadero, sister Carolyn Allen (Robert) of Atascadero, sister Lori Sortino (Thomas) of Thousand Oaks, California, two grandchildren, Ava and Cole, Shani’s mother Kathleen Jenks of Napa, and numerous loving family members: Aunt Evelyn Anderson (Uncle Roy), of Long Beach, California, niece Tracy Brown (Mike) of Atascadero, nephew Jeffrey Husband (Catherine) of Oregon City, nephew Bryan Husband (Reylynn) of Bend, Oregon, nephew Travis Allen (Jayne) of San Luis Obispo, niece Jennifer McClellan of Thousand Oaks, nephew Daniel Steed of Rochester, New York, great nephew Jake Brown of Long Beach, great niece Riley Brown and great nephew Matthew Brown of Atascadero, great nephew Chayne Husband and great nieces Jessica Husband and Jaclyn Husband of Oregon City, great nephew Seth Husband and great niece Hannah Husband of Bend, great nieces Bayley Allen and Hayden Allen of San Luis Obispo, and cousins Joani Marlatt (Gil) of Newhall, California, Steve Bruns of Vista, California, Sharon Moody (Terry) of Escondido, California, Scott Anderson (Teresa) of Long Beach, Kemp Anderson of Long Beach, Russ Anderson (Katherine Kasey) of Garden Grove, California, and James Deeth (Dorothy) of Simi Valley, California.
